Overview

Covering a useful variety of ultra-wide focal lengths, the Nikon F-mount Sigma 12-24mm f/4 DG HSM Art is an Art-series zoom characterized by an advanced design that greatly reduces distortion for a high degree of sharpness. Low-dispersion and aspherical elements minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range for high clarity and color accuracy.

A Super Multi-Layer Coating suppresses flare and ghosting for color-accurate, contrast-rich imagery across a variety of lighting conditions. Handling benefits include a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) with an optimized algorithm for speed and accuracy, plus full-time manual override by rotating the focus ring at any time.

A rounded 9-blade diaphragm helps create smooth bokeh, while a built-in lens hood protects the front element and helps prevent stray light from causing flare. Construction includes Thermally Stable Composite (TSC), a brass bayonet, mount sealing for dust/splash resistance, and a water/oil-repellent treatment on the front element.
