Overview

A truly ultra-wide prime with a rectilinear optical design, the Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D is built to limit distortion for clean, accurate renderings—especially for landscapes and architectural subjects where straight lines matter.

The optical construction includes two aspherical and three extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness and reduced color fringing. A Frog Eye Coating is applied to the front element to repel dust and moisture, helping when shooting in challenging environments. Precision manual focus is supported by a floating optical system to maintain performance from 7.09" (18 cm) to infinity.

This lens is designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount cameras and can also be used on APS-C models, where it provides a 19.2mm equivalent focal length.
