The built-in Optical Image Stabilizer provides up to approximately 5.5 stops of shake correction, or up to around 8 stops with Coordinated IS when paired with compatible IBIS-equipped RF cameras. An 11-blade diaphragm renders smooth, circular bokeh throughout the zoom range.

The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements and four UD elements to help minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations for crisp, high-contrast imagery.
