A Complete Miniature Studio Designed by Musicians

Capture moments of musical inspiration and build compositions on the go with the Zoom R4 MultiTrak. Combining the classic workflow of portable 4-track recorders with 21st-century digital features, the R4 empowers musicians to explore big ideas effortlessly.

With 32-bit float recording, you never have to worry about your audio signal clipping or setting gain levels again. It introduces a unique dedicated bounce track, allowing you to record up to four tracks, mix them, and bounce them to a separate track—freeing up space to add unlimited layers with a handy "last undo" function.

Overview

The R4 provides an intuitive hands-on experience with four dedicated faders, hardware buttons, and a 2" color LCD, completely eliminating the need to menu dive. To kickstart your creative process, it includes a built-in rhythm section preloaded with over 80 drum patterns across genres like rock, hip hop, funk, and heavy metal.

Refine your mix utilizing the onboard track effects (3-band EQ, pan, echo, reverb) and input effects (amp simulations, delays, distortions). The R4 records directly to microSD cards up to 1TB and also functions as a powerful 2-in / 2-out USB audio interface with 32-bit float technology, perfect for connecting to your computer or smartphone.
