Overview

Pairing the proven Distagon concept with modern functionality, the ZEISS Batis 25mm f/2 is a wide-angle prime designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. Its broad field of view suits landscape, reportage, and architecture, while the bright f/2 aperture excels in low light.

A combination of aspherical and anomalous partial-dispersion elements helps reduce color fringing, distortion, and aberrations for sharp, clear, color-accurate imagery. A floating elements system maintains consistent performance throughout the focusing range, and ZEISS T* coating reduces flare and ghosting.

Signature Batis lenses feature an integrated OLED display that shows focus distance and depth of field. A linear AF motor delivers fast, quiet, smooth autofocus for stills and video, and the lens is built with dust- and moisture-resistant sealing for challenging environments.
