Sony FX2 (E-Mount) — Cinema Line hybrid with advanced stills
33MP full-frame sensor, 4K up to 60p, AI-powered AF & stabilization, S-Log3 stills
Overview
The Sony FX233MP sensor and BIONZ XR processor deliver detailed 4K with low noise in both full-frame and Super 35 modes. An on-board AI unit powers active stabilization and real-time subject recognition for more accurate autofocus and framing.
A dedicated S-Log3 photo mode with optional LUT display lets you capture 33MP stills ready for unified grading. A 3.68m-dot OLED EVF with 0.7× magnification tilts 0–90° for critical viewing in harsh light, complemented by a 3″ 180° tilting touchscreen and the BIG6 home screen for quick access to FPS, ISO, shutter angle, aperture, look, and white balance.

Ideal For
Run-and-gun filmmakers, travel/documentary shooters, hybrid creators needing 33MP stills with unified S-Log3/LUT workflows, and 4K streaming setups.
Pro Tips
- For maximum quality, shoot full-frame 4K from 7K oversample in 10-bit 4:2:2 and pick the appropriate dual-base ISO.
- Load custom LUTs and enable Display LUT for monitoring; apply the same LUT to S-Log3 stills for perfect match.
- Enable Auto Framing for events and wildlife to keep subjects centered while you focus on composition.
- Use CFexpress Type A cards for high-bit-rate All-Intra recording to minimize dropped frames.
