Sony a7S III Mirrorless Camera
12.1MP Full-Frame — UHD 4K 120p 10-Bit — 15+ Stops Dynamic Range — Fast Hybrid AF
Optimized Video, Sensitivity, and Speed
The Sony a7S III raises the bar for what a full-frame mirrorless camera is capable of. A revised 12.1MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and updated BIONZ XR image processor offer blazing-fast performance, improved noise reduction, and wider dynamic range.
Built for serious filmmakers, it features breathtaking UHD 4K 120p video recording, internal 10-bit 4:2:2 sampling, and an improved heat-dissipating structure allowing for unlimited clip lengths and up to 60 minutes of continuous 4K60p recording.
System Overview
The redesigned back-illuminated Exmor RS sensor achieves impressive sensitivity from ISO 80-102,400 (extended to 409,600). The updated design yields 2x faster readout speeds, greatly reducing rolling shutter by 3x, while the BIONZ XR processor handles data up to 8x faster.
Incorporate professional cinematic color into your workflow with S-Cinetone, delivering healthy-looking skin tones matching Sony's FX9 and VENICE cinema cameras. Affording extensive gamma controls, you can capture up to 15 stops of dynamic range for maximum post-production flexibility.
Features a world-class 9.44m-dot QXGA OLED EVF for incredibly detailed eye-level viewing, alongside a side-opening vari-angle LCD touchscreen.
